History Bowl Stages

For students in all divisions, the International History Bowl is divided into three stages:

1. Regional Tournaments

Any team can register for a Regional Tournament. There is no qualification needed.

2. National Championships

The top 50% teams at any Regional Tournament qualify for the History Bowl National Championships, to be held in Ottawa in May.

3. International History Olympiad

The top 50% students at the Canadian Championships of the International History Bowl qualify for the International History Olympiad, to be held in Princeton, NJ and New York City, on July 25-August 1, 2022.
